If you are submitting electronic claims with TheraQuick, you should be aware that the national standard for the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) format has been updated from 4010 to the new 5010 format. The change to the 5010 format is nationwide and affects all entities involved in electronic healthcare transactions. This major change has been in the works for several years and implementation of the 5010 format is federally mandated by January 1, 2012.
TheraQuick 2.1.0 is now capable of submitting claims in the 5010 EDI format and is 5010-certified by Availity and Office Ally. Up until version 2.1.0, TheraQuick has been using the 4010 format. The old 4010 format will continue to be accepted for a limited time by clearing houses, and eventually claims in the old format will be rejected.
If you are using TheraQuick to submit electronic claims, there are some new requirements that you should be aware of. We have prepared a tutorial to help you prepare for this transition and to point out the new data or data formats you will need to use in TheraQuick. You can view the tutorial for making the transition to using the 5010 format at this location:
